Apply Now for the First-Ever Pan-Asian Storyteller Edition

Applications are now open for the first-ever TELUS STORYHIVE Pan-Asian Storyteller Edition, centering and celebrating the breadth and depth of lived experiences from new and emerging Pan-Asian filmmakers across B.C. and Alberta. This program supports filmmakers of Pan-Asian descent, meaning those whose ancestral and cultural heritage comes from all parts of the continent of Asia.

The Edition will provide: 

  • $20,000 in production funding to create a narrative short film or documentary.

  • Professional mentorship through our partnership with the National Screen Institute, helping you refine your skills and navigate your filmmaking journey.

  • Distribution support to access over 1 million viewers on TELUS Optik TV, Stream+ and 162,000+ subscribers on STORYHIVE’s YouTube channel.

Thank you to Creative BC for supporting B.C.-based projects with an additional $5,000 in top up funding.
