Hi STORYHIVE community!  Are you a new or emerging filmmaker, digital content creator, live streamer or video podcaster in British Columbia or Alberta? If so, you’re in the right place! TELUS STORYHIVE offers production funding, training and support to bring local stories to life. 

Before diving into the application process, let’s make sure you meet the eligibility requirements. Take our quick quiz to see if you’re eligible to join the TELUS STORYHIVE community and start creating:

1. Are you a citizen or permanent resident of Canada?

• A: Yes

• B: No

• C: Not yet, but I will be a citizen or permanent resident soon.

2. Are you over the age of majority in B.C. and Alberta (19+ in B.C. or 18+ in Alberta)? 

• A: Yes

• B: No

• C: No, but I will be over the age of majority soon. 

3. Do you reside in an eligible community?

• A: Yes

• B: No

• C: I’m not sure.

4. Do you have an idea for a screen-based project that reflects your local community?

• A: Yes

• B: No

• C: It's more global in theme and partially set outside of my community.

5. Have you created an account on the STORYHIVE website to explore available resources and opportunities?

• A: Yes, I’m already signed up.

• B: No, not yet.

• C: I didn’t know I could!

6. Have you received a broadcast license from a Canadian broadcaster in the past five years?

• A: No

• B: Yes

• C: I’m not sure what this means.

7. Do you have any experience in content creation?

• A: No, I have zero experience

• B: Yes, I’m an expert!

• C: I have some!

• If you answered ALL As, you are eligible to apply for STORYHIVE programs! 

• If you answered one or more Bs, you do not meet the criteria to apply for STORYHIVE programs.
