Coming to Williams Lake on April 8: “Colours of Cariboo” Video Podcast Premiere Event
Posted on April 3, 2025What drives artists to keep creating? What makes creating in rural communities so special? These are the questions (plus many more!) Williams Lake based Video Podcaster Rohan Keenan seeks to answer in their brand-new podcast series, Colours of Cariboo, as they interview rural artists from the Cariboo-Chilcotin region.
On Tuesday, April 8 at the Limelight Theatre, attendees will be treated to a screening of the first episode of the podcast featuring Williams Lake resident Sage Birchwater, plus catch a sneak peek at upcoming episodes. Meet with Keenan and the guests appearing on the podcast, ask them questions, and find out why the Cariboo-Chilcotin region is so special to them and the art that they create in an interactive Q&A.

This event will allow guests to discover this brand new video podcast created in Williams Lake and surrounding Cariboo-Chilcotin. Williams Lake locals are invited to immerse themselves in the wild beauty of this land and its stories of wild creativity.
Rohan and their wife and collaborator, Lucille, remark on why their project resonates with their community:
“There is a call from the Cariboo that echoes out to anyone willing to listen to it. And for those who have followed it here or stayed because of it, they are rewarded with a wild land filled with beauty, community and inspiration. These stories are what keep us going, and we are incredibly grateful to be able to share them with the rest of the world.”
Doors open at 6:30 pm, with the event starting at 7:00 pm. This event is open to all ages and entry is by donation, with all funds raised going towards sponsoring kids art classes at Cariboo Art Beats. Late night snacks with coffee, tea, water and juice will be provided. Register for the event here.
