Ashley Laurenson

I am a founding member of the Fort McMurray Filmmakers Association and former organiser and host of the Fort McMurray International Film Festival, Film Fear and winterREELS. I have worked on several shorts, including World's Finest, Arkham Rising, Cover, Reddit Two Sentence Horror Stories, and Film Fear Trailers. I have also designed costumes and props for two local theatre productions. My team has been awarded 3 STORYHIVE grants, with our projects The Good Survivor, and Nerdvana the Web Series under the Web Series and 100K editions, which are now complete and online for viewing! My informal training is the experience I have gained in our community, in pre-production, on set and post-production. Our community does not currently have formal film training programs.
