Jo-Jo O' & The WOODS are an intrinsic duo hailing from Lacombe, Alberta. The pair of songwriters artfully craft a medley of soulful blues of days long past, with the southern-folk roots of their fore-mothers and fathers, and if you listen very closely, you can still hear the grit of their humble punk-rock beginnings. The duo released their EP, Old Friends & Lost Souls, April 2015 (ISC semifinalists.) Since September, they have toured Ireland and the UK, playing over 60 gigs including the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival and a residency at Darkey Kelly's in the heart of Dublin, earning a reputation as a band “you just have to see live." After a summer of Canadian gigs, the duo will return to their little studio on the prairies to record their first full length album this fall.
