I am a retired hospital social worker( BSW, MSW,RSW) for 42 years. 2 TV documentaries with Cogeco/CBC, Ontario (1995, 2001), published children's books, composed song lyrics, and poetry, all relate to social issues I have encountered repeatedly in health care. Professional goals include enhancing social awareness of children, parents, educational system, public on social justice issues-particularly those that affect children and families: mental and physical health concerns such as illness, loss, survivors, abuse, poverty. Our children are our future leaders and policy makers. Opportunity for discussion is so important.
