Lawrence Lam
LAWRENCE LE LAM and ALEXANDER FARAH are both award-winning filmmakers currently residing in Vancouver, BC. They are both graduates of the BFA at Emily Carr University. Lawrence's short film The Blue Jet, centered around a rebellious radio DJ who broadcasts forbidden rock n' roll in 1970’s Taiwan, premiered at the 2015 Festival du nouveau cinema in Montreal and has won several awards, continuing to screen internationally at festivals across the globe. Alex's short film Sahar, a Farsi/English family drama inspired by the Shafia Murder Trials, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014, won multiple festival awards and screened on nearly every continent. Their most recent collaboration was on the Crazy8s film Cypher, which Lawrence directed and Alex co-edited.
