When I was growing up, I wanted to be a cameraman on Hockey Night in Canada. That’s where my interest in television began. I followed my dream and began my career in 1981 in Prince Albert, and then Lethbridge. But it wasn’t as a cameraman that I found my niche, it was editing. I enjoyed working with footage and telling a story. Whether it was a 30 second commercial, or a 30 minute show, it had to convey a message to the viewer. In 1986, I moved to Edmonton and accepted a job at CITV. Three years later, I moved over to Studio Post and spent the next nine years there. By 1999, I decided I needed a change, and with the new millennium, the timing seemed right. I ventured out on my own as a freelance editor. It’s been man years and I’m still editing. Time to slow down a bit.
