Sylvia Douglas
Sylvia Douglas is an arts administrator, writer, and filmmaker. She has established a student art gallery and worked in several museums and theatres in Edmonton. After completing a degree in English and History from the University of Alberta and a Diploma in Arts and Cultural Management from MacEwan University she now works full time at the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta (FAVA) and is serving on the Board of Directors for Alberta Media Artists Alliance Society (AMAAS). Sylvia has taken a full roster of classes from FAVA such as Video Kitchen (introductory filmmaking), Main Course (intermediate filmmaking), Screenwriting, and Acting for Screenwriters and Directors. She has worked on several independent productions as a Script Supervisor, Writer/Director, and Production Assistant.
