Xavier Cattarinich

Xavier graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's Film and Video Production Program in June 2017, where he was enrolled in the Producer/Director stream. Two short documentaries he directed and wrote/co-wrote while at SAIT--"Orphans Unwanted" and "Thoroughbreds of the Skies"-- were nominated for Best Student Film at the 2018 AMPIA (Alberta Media Production Industry Association) Awards. "Orphans Unwanted" has been screened at several festivals. Xavier is passionate about making films that touch both the mind and the heart. His goal is to make a career of writing and directing documentaries on the environment, wildlife, travel/adventure, socio-cultural issues and the arts, among other topics. Xavier also has an aptitude for still photography and dramatic screenwriting.
