Sabine Burns

Born and raised in Calgary, my childhood was spent swallowing mouthfuls of the elbow river giggling with my neighbours, learning to love the rocky mountains, and a fascination with the art my parents hauled me to in Calgary. I travelled south to Lethbridge to study theatre and design, to and from interior BC to ski in the winters, and all the while feeling the pull home to Calgary. After finding photography somewhere along the way, I dedicated my working life to being outdoors while integrating my visual story-telling practice. My outdoor and photo skills have led me to participate and then facilitate the Canadian Wilderness Artist Residency. A lover of nostalgia, I seek to rustle up memories in people.
