Rishima Bahadoorsingh draws on her unique Indo-Trinidadian roots to share her knowledge of music rooted in the spiritual traditions of India, such as mantra, rāga, bhajan/kirtan. She sings and teaches online and in person locally and internationally. Since 2016, her outlook on music changed after being introduced to Dhrupad, an ancient meditative style of singing and learns with Manish Kumar. She also studies Khayal with Ajivasan. Rishima teaches internationally in English and Spanish. She has sung at festivals, cultural events, TV, yoga studios, radio, and podcasts. She is an elementary school teacher and is studying a Masters of Music Education in Peacebuilding.
