2018 Digital Shorts

Your votes helped crown the Top 2 Animated Edition winners. Each winner receives customized career training and attendance to the 2017 Ottawa Animation Festival.  

How it works

  1. Pitch + Plan

    Feb 26, 2018 - March 19, 2018

    Plan for your production and wow us with your pitch.

  2. Vote + Award

    April 3, 2018 - May 3, 2018

    Rally your community and build an audience to watch and vote for your project. A team of industry experts and STORYHIVE team members will award 40 outstanding projects grant funding. Each awarded project will receive a $10,000 production grant.

  3. Learn + Create

    May 3 - Aug 7, 2018

    Each winning team will work with mentors to produce a short film up to 10 minutes in length. Projects will be featured on STORYHIVE social media platforms and TELUS Optik TV On Demand in Fall 2018.
