2020 Podcast Edition

The projects produced in our very first Podcast Edition are now live! Explore 16 podcasts recorded across British Columbia and Alberta, covering a range of topics from Calgary's Chinatown community to success stories about women in sports and access to mental health avenues.

How it works

  1. Pitch + Plan

    Nov 4 - Dec 2

    Submit your podcast idea and plan for your production. Before applying to the Podcast Edition, please be sure to also read the Submission Rules.

  2. Award

    Mar 11

    The jury will select 10 podcast projects to receive production funding, training, mentorship and distribution support. Each awarded project receives a $10,000 production grant.

  3. Learn + Create

    Mar 29 - Jul 27

    Each successful applicant will work with mentors to produce and deliver three podcast episodes with accompanying visual components, each episode 15+ minutes in duration. Projects will be featured on select TELUS platforms in 2021.
