2018 Documentary

Your votes helped crown the Top 2 Animated Edition winners. Each winner receives customized career training and attendance to the 2017 Ottawa Animation Festival.  

How it works

  1. Pitch + Plan

    April 9, 2019 - May 7, 2019

    Plan for your production and wow us with your pitch.

  2. Vote + Award

    May 28,2019 - July 17, 2019

    Build support for your projects by gathering votes. A team of industry experts and STORYHIVE team members selects 15 projects based solely on the pitch, and 15 projects based on the number of votes. Each awarded project will receive a $50,000 production grant.

  3. Learn + Create

    July 17, 2019 - June 1, 2020

    Each successful team will work with mentors to produce a documentary 20 - 60 minutes in length. Projects will be featured on select TELUS platforms in Summer 2020.
