About the song

"Cherries On Top" is about striving for success and fulfillment, and the suffering of not really knowing what the end point of the striving is. In the music video, Jesse is trudging along, disconnected from the beauty of life. But at his monotonous job, he begins to drift off and engage with something grander that inspires action and change.

Production Design

The video will end with a massive bonfire, which we will have out in Metchosin, Jesse's hometown.

One of the locations we're using is the OddFellows hall in Victoria, BC. The grand hall is incredibly beautiful with an amazing ceiling. Using After Effects, we will be animating the ceiling to make it even more dynamic, layering it and turning it into an articulating piece of magic.

A local grocery store has been kind enough as to allow us to film at their location. Jesse's character will be working at this store. Costuming will match that depicted in this production still
