Elena Belyea (they/she) is an award-winning playwright, actor, producer, and director born and raised in amiskwaciwâskahikan (ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ, colonially known as Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory. Their work has been produced across Turtle Island and internationally. She is half of queer sketch duo, “Gender? I Hardly Know Them” (on Instagram + TikTok @genderihardlyknowthem). Their proof of concept was funded through Telus’ Storyhive + featured at Inside Out 2021 and is now available on Telus Optik TV.
