How it works

  1. Pitch + Plan

    Sept 10 - Oct 7

    Send us your documentary short idea and plan for your production.

  2. Award

    Jan 14

    The jury will select 40 projects to receive production funding, training, mentorship and distribution support. Each awarded project receives a $20,000 production grant. BC projects will receive additional top up funding from Creative BC.

  3. Learn + Create

    Feb 27 - Jul 14

    Each successful team will work with mentors to produce and deliver a short documentary, 20+ minutes in duration, and a behind the scenes companion piece. Projects will be featured on select TELUS platforms in 2021.
