Synopsis
Shelly Ann, award winning Metis author discusses the many deep-rooted adverse affects of severe childhood abuse. Understanding a great number of people, like herself, have all of the same questions, suffer all of the same deep-rooted adverse affects of that abuse. Most often, victims do not receive the help they need and are left suffering from a large number of other mental disorders. But the most common affect of childhood abuse is feeling alone and believing that no-one else understands them or what they are going through. With an honest approach to sharing her personal truths, she connects with other victims and helps the healing journey to begin. For those who have never been abused, they will begin to understand those who have been abused.
