Jason Chau
English teacher turned Animator turned Creative Producer. Jason is the son of Vietnamese war refugees. Jason was born and raised in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. In high school, he was voted as the most artistic student in his grad class, and received art scholarships for post-secondary. Jason studied at UBC, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and taught English after his undergrad. After university, he taught English and essay writing. Teaching did not fulfill his creative outlet, so in 2012, he went back to school for animation. He has worked as an animator for years before transitioning into film and documentary in 2018 – producing a short film, and coupling his knowledge of art and design with exceptional organizational and management skills.
