From my minor in Film at the University of Alberta to taking a whole year to study at the New York Film Academy I have gained a wisdom about filmmaking on both theoretical and practical levels. On set, I have worked with 16 & 35mm film cameras, DSLRs, Pro-Cinema bodies as well as a huge assortment of grip, lighitng and electrical equipment. Being well trained in the technical aspects of filmmaking has allowed me to understand the language of cinema. More importantly how I can use that language to communicate to others and stir their souls. Cinema has never just been pure enteritainment, although it can be just that, instead it is a form of communication that cuts deep into the very fibre of our being. Into the dark places we hide, into the memories we hold dear.
