Emily Welz

I first got a degree in English and creative writing and worked for a literacy non-profit while learning photography on the side. I also worked on production design and camera operating at a local television and radio station for a while. From this, I made some connections and tried out some acting and modelling. Due to the lack of BIPOC women/non-binary folks represented behind and in front of the lens, I felt it important to pursue photography and to be in an environment that allowed for collaboration, which is why I love film. I value community and manifesting the ideas in my head with a solid, inspired team.
